  • Make sure you study and practice your for your test, use online test to test your knowledge for all the rules including the basics. You can also take training courses with a driving school to go over certain driving skills.
  • Once you have been driving without any probation for 2 years (or 18 months if you took the ICBC approved driving training course and have had no at-fualt crashes, tickets or probations since your N
  • It is important to make sure you have all these specific skills under you belt: Driving through intersections, turning left and right, Pulling out into traffic, Pulling over and stopping at the side of the road, Changing lanes, Parking on a hill, Starting on a hill, Backing up, Angle parking,Parallel parking, Stall parking (driving forward and backing up into a stall), Two and three point turns, Merging on and off a highway,General driving ( driving straight, driving on hills and curves), Knowing what to do around emergency vehicles
  • Not only is it important to know these useful skills on the road it is also important to be aware of your suroundings on the road and which ones couldbe dangerous. predestrians, cyclists, animals, reckless drivers, motorcyclists, uneven roads, hidden driveways or blind spots and icy snowy roads are all examples.
  • Your full test, inspections and debrief will only take around 45 minutes. Once you get on the road the examiner will watch how you turn, change lanes and park. you will also be directed through all types of road enviroments and intersection testing your knowledge each time, keep an eye out for potential hazards as well, as your examiner make ask you to point some out
  • When taking your test you want to mak sure you are prepared, the examiner will make an inspection on your car, you need to make make sure your high beams, horn, parking brakes and turn signals all work, not to mention that you know where they all are.
  • Once you have fnished driving you will be brought into a debrief and you will know right away whether you passsed or not, the examiner will provide feed back and tips for you as well.
