Storyboard Text

  • Montag is a fireman who loves his job and is content with life until he meets 17 year-old, Clarisse Mcclellan. She asks him questions about life and makes Montag wonder if he is really happy.
  • "Books aren't important. It's what are inside of books that are"

  • When Montag gets home, he sees his wife passed out on the bed due to an overdose. Two hospital workers come to pump Mildred's stomach with a snake-like machine, in which they quickly leave to help their next patient. This shows Montag that his wife is not happy and overdosing is a common thing in their society.
  • The Firefighters get a call to destroy an elder women's house due to possession of books. As they go to burn the house down, the women refuses to leave and dies with her books along side of her. Montag then realizes that books have importance, so he secretly takes one with him to find answers.
  • "Welcome, Montag"
  • Montag wants to find the truth hidden in books, which is why he reaches out to Faber, an old English professor who he met at the park a while back. The two meet and discuss the value of books and their plan to destroy the fireman system.
  • Mildred and her friends turn Montag in after witnessing his possession of books. The fire alarm is called to burn Montag's house down, but Beatty wants him to burn it down room by room with a flamethrower. With the flamethrower, Montag sets Beatty on fire and escapes.
  • Montag finds a camp ground down the river and discovers a community of people who love books. They all talk and discuss their hopes to rebuild their broken society. Meanwhile the city is being bombed and destroyed.
