When the time came for Jesus to be crucified He was nailed to the cross and put in between two other men who were crucified. To His left there was a man who was sorry for his sins and Jesus told that man they he would be in heaven with Him. To His right there was a man who was not sorry for his sins and that man would not go to Heaven with Him.

Jesus had been on the cross for a long time and He was thirsty. He needed something to drink. A man ran and filled a sponge with vinegar, put it on a reed, and raised it up to Jesus for Him to drink.

To make sure that Jesus was dead one of the soldiers took a spear and pierced it through Jesus's side. Almost immediately water and blood came flowing out of His side.
A man named Joseph of Arimathea went to pilot to ask for the body of Jesus. He wrapped the body of Jesus in clean linen and spices, and placed Him in his new tomb that he had cut out of rock. He then rolled a big stone in front of it and went away.
When a woman came back to look at Jesus in His tomb she discovered that His body was gone. She was very frightened by this, but then an angel came to her and said' " Do not be afraid for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here, for He has risen, as he said. Come and see the place where he lay."
