- CLASS FOR TODAY! I AM GOING TO GIVE YOU A TASK ABOUT THE THEORIES ON THE ORIGIN OF THE UNIVERSE. YOU HAVE TO RECITE IT TOMORROW. ARE WE CLEAR?

- One of the theory is the Big Bang Theory.The big bang theory was formulated by Alexander Friedman and Georges Lemaitre in 1920. Based from the theory, around 13.7 billion years ago, there was nothing on space. Then suddenly, due to spontaneous fluctuation in an empty space, there was a great expansion. This expansion transmitted space, time, matter and energy in all directions. According to Friedman and Lemaitre, all the matter and energy in the universe was compacted into a tiny dense point called singularity>

- Aside from Big Bang Theory. I have search also the Inflation Theory.The term inflation refers to the rapid expansion of space-time. Inflation Theory proposes a period of extremely rapid (exponential) expansion of the universe during its first few moments. It was developed around 1980 by physicists Alan Guth, Andrei Linde, Paul Steinhart and Andy Albrecht to explain several puzzles with the standard Big Bang theory, in which the universe expands relatively gradually throughout its history.

- The universe may have begun with the big bang which occurred 13.8 billion years ago, but it was only after one billion years that galaxies start to form. The age of the Solar System and that of the planet Earth is approximately 4.54 billion years old. This is based on the age of meteorites which are believed to have been formed the same time as the rest of the Solar System.
