  • A foreign policy doctrine adopted by the Truman administration in 1947. The policy was created on the belief that if communist governments couldn't expand, they would fall apart.

  • After WW2, the Soviet Union blockaded rail, water, and road access to Allied-controlled areas of Berlin. This was in Response of competing occupation policies between The Soviet Union and the U.S. To supply Berlin, the allies airlifted food and supplies to Berlin.

  • The North Atlantic Treaty Organisation was made by the U.S, Canada, Belgium, Denmark, France, Iceland, Italy, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, and the United Kingdom to provide security against the Soviet Union.
