- The Internal Audit (IA) ManagerA plight wrought with frustration

- I hope the audit team finds the support item I sent over in a randomly named file attached to a email without a subject line.
- As the IA Manager, I am required to track status of the audit process, review staff auditor testing, insure Provided by Client (PBC) request items are received, and remediation is performed for noted deficiencies. And I need to do this manually with only spreadsheets, emails, and post it notes. Good Grief!
- The Process Owner
- I am Still waiting for test workpapers to be reviewed before we can share the results with the Process Owner. I am unsure what is taking so long, I sent notes on testing via email without a subject line, and saved an excel to a unsecured share folder.
- Staff Auditor
- Since the Process Owner has not received any To Do's from the Audit Team, he assumes they have everything they need, and leaves the office early today to hang out at the Renaissance Fair.
- The Internal Audit Manager
- So excited to use my time to identify more ways to mitigate risk for the organization.
- I received an automated reminder for open items on the PBC list. A link has been provided to upload that support direct to the secure document archive of the Audit Management tool. I also uploaded the support to test my scheduled remediation.
- With the new audit management tool this audit is progressing smooth without interuption. My test procedures have been approved by the IA Manager, and I can see my requeted support clearly identified and uploaded to the document archive.
- With the new audit management tool, I have Real Time Dashboard to review status. I can see what has been received, my team has completed, and approve workpapers, and remediations via workflow. The efficiency and transparency has increased our ability to complete audits on time or even better ahead of schedule. My world is now vibrant and less gray!
