  • Good morning, class! Today we will be learning about irregular past tense verbs!
  • As we learned before, we add "d" or "-ed" after regular verb stems to turn them into the simple past.
  • 
  • Verbs ending in a vowelshare –> sharedagree –> agreedlie –> liedmove –> movedpurchase –> purchased

  • When we have a verb that ends in "-y", we replace the "y" with an "i" and add "-ed".

  • Some words are irregular, meaning they do not follow these rules. We need to memorize these types of words.
