- Scott: walks off in the opposite direction pushing through the crowd as they throw objects at him.The school bell goes as everyone starts heading back to class.
- JIMMY: Cheer up, they’ll soon forget about it. Let’s head to class.Scott looks around looking for an excuse not to go.SCOTT: Um, I’ll be there in a sec.Jimmy walks off as Scott hangs back.Scott looks around hopelessly and goes to walk off to class as a nerdy girl, PENNY (17), approaches him.One person from the group is still around and throws paper at Scott as he runs off attempting to catch the others.
- PENNY: Hi Scott, don’t worry about the others, they’re just idiots.Scott doesn’t look at Penny.PENNY: I’m Penny, it’s my first day.SCOTT: Do you know why they’re laughing at me?PENNY: No, but I’m sure it’s nothing.Scott looks around, he can’t make eye contact with her.PENNY: Do you want to go get some coffee after class?Scott looks at Penny and smiles as the two walk of together towards class.
