The bell had just rung and the students were rushing out of class to go home. Laughter and chatter could be heard from a mile away. Being caught in the crossfire, Tom was pushed about like a ball. As Tom squeezed through the madness, Tom caught a glimpse of his friend, Daniel crying.
*cries*
HAHAHAHAHAHAHNAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH
During recess, Tom sat down with a group of friends. While they were talking, Sam, one of Tom's friends, suggested a game of truth or dare. they all agreed and started the game. Paul asked Tom, "Truth or dare!" And Tom said, "Truth!"
I HATE YOU!
Paul asked Tom to tell him a secret. Tom racked my brain and could not remember anything except the one Sam told Tom. Tom thought that telling one person would not hurt, so he let the cat out of the bag.
At home......
The secret that Tom told Paul had spread throughout the school like wildfire. That was when Tom saw Daniel huddled in a corner, sobbing uncontrollably. People were crowding around him hurling nasty insults at him without regard for his feelings.
When Tom came over to console him, his grief turned into anger in an instant and he screamed these words ,"This is all your fault!" I thought you could be trusted! I.....I hate you!" Hearing those words, guilt hit him harder than a truck. Tom knew Sam had trusted him with his secret that no one else knew. Tom was a terrible and untrustworthy friend. Tom apologised profusely for what he had done but Sam ran away blinking back tears.
"Is this the end?" Tom wondered. Tom had lost his one and only true friend. From that day on, Tom learned a very important and painful lesson. "Trust is earned and it can be lost or broken if any party in the relationship fails to respect the other." These words were held close to Tom's heart as he vowed never to break someone's trust ever.
