Hank is hanging out with friends at the cafeteria when he sees Vlad eating food at another table. He remembers that Dakota said that Vlad was her best friend. He comes up to Vlad and asks him to help him get Dakota to on a date with him because he keeps trying and she keeps saying no.
The narrator will say "Vlad gets an idea. He realizes if he gives Hank bad advice and makes it so that Hank doesn't have a chance with Dakota, Vlad can make his move without Hank in the way." Vlad agrees to help him out to try and win Dakota over.
