- krakow poland, chapter 3: so they snuck out of the house, and yanek was outside of the apartment and he was sleeping, then his dad took him to the bakery to get bread. and they couldnt get caught by the guards. and it they did they would kill them. sense all jews had a curfew.

- chapter 12: he learned that other prisoners were wearing different color unifroms and he learned what them colors meant. and then Yanek seen a simular face, and it was Uncle Moshe, and yanek didnt know all the natzis tricks, so Uncle Moshe had to act like he didnt know Yanek. and then sombody got hit with a golf club because Yanek yell uncle moshe! its me! Yanek!

- chapter 14: they make them pick up heavy rocks with bare hands, and then the guards make them carry them to one side, then they say they dont like the way they look so they make them carry them back and forth
