- ok class, has anybody heard of meiosis?

- metaphase 1 and 2 !

- oh i know the next one! During prophase II, the chromosomes condense, and a new set of spindle fibers forms.
- the first phase is interphase, during this phase the cell grows replicates and prepares for cell division.

- the second stage is During prophase I, the complex of DNA and protein known as chromatin condenses to form chromosomes.
- During meiosis I, metaphase I takes place and pairs of chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell. During meiosis II, metaphase II takes place and chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell.
- With anaphase 2, the sister chromatids separate in much the same manner as mitotic anaphase.
