- Why am is this plant so important and crucial right now to buisness
- Because without our cotton the south would have nothing to do and we would have to industrialize like the north. And this would also mean less purpose for slavery , And right now slaves are a booming part of the southern economy.
- Ok but what is the cause of this huge want for slaves and why is cotton so popular right now.
- Well the machine sitting next to you is the reason the cotton gin completely changed this industry by making it way faster to get the cotton for clothes.

- I am really worried about the way religion is starting to effect politics and us women have no say according to men.
- I know it feels like women and slaves have no say and they are using our religion as a way to defend slavery and I feel like I have no voice.
- I know but I have been secretly reading the books about women's power and abolitionism but heaven forbid I get caught reading.
- Oh you should give me copies of some of those books I don't have anywhere to buy them as a women.

- I know this is wrong but it is really bringing up the economy with selling these slaves.
- Yeah ever since this cotton gin has been invented it has changed the whole southern economuy
