The separation of Henry VIII from Catherine of Aragon...

Henry's new church!

Mary meets Anne...

Mary's feud with her Father

Mary's secret weapon...

The death of Henry VIII... the reign of Edward!

Our tale begins with the separation of Mary's parents. Henry VIII divorced Catherine of Aragon because Henry became desperate for a male heir. This was the beginning of Mary's difficult relationship with her father....

Henry VIII created his own church, called the The Church of England in order to marry Anne Boleyn... a form of Christianity Mary did NOT agree with!

Henry introduced Mary to Anne Boleyn and Mary responded poorly to her father’s decision. She resented her Father for these decisions and thus refused to acknowledge the validity of her father's new marriage or his new church.

Mary refused to publicly approve of her Father's decisions and thus became a public enemy! Henry banished her telling her to reconcile with him... or else!

For her own safety, Mary had no choice but to reconcile with her father! But what Henry didn't realise is that she had a weapon.... WORDS!!

After Henry VIII died, the son he had with Jane Seymour, Edward VI, was crowned king in 1547. During his reign, her older brother demanded that she stop practicing her Catholic faith.

I love another woman... get over it

Ever get that feeling people hate you!?
