  • (5) Maaaaam!!

  • (8) Who else?
  • Precautionary Measures Before, During and After a Volcanic Eruption.
  • (6) Okay, Andreyka, you may answer.
  • (4)Before we go any further, what are your thoughts on volcanoes?
  • (3) The volcano, which is located in the province of Batangas, is the second most active volcano in the country, with 38 previous eruptions, all of which were focused on Volcano Island, near the middle of Taal Lake. The caldera was produced by prehistoric eruptions between 140,000 and 5,380 years ago.
  • (10)You make a valid point, Andreyka and Mharsene.
  • (9) Hello, I'm Mharsene. In addition to what Andreyka previously mentioned, volcanoes also provide us with benefits such as soil enrichment, the creation of new land, thermal energy, tourism, economic growth, and scenic benefits. By eliminating heat from the earth's interior, volcanoes assisted in cooling it. Volcanic emissions created the atmosphere and the ocean's water; they also created islands, expanded the continents, and left behind deposits that are utilised in construction.
  • (11) We all know that the Taal volcano erupted, therefore may I ask who in this room evacuated?
  • Precautionary Measures Before, During and After a Volcanic Eruption.
  • (16)Wow, Javen gave a really great explanation! Please move on to the next phase.
  • (13)Okay Javen, can you explain us what happened in your location and the reason you were evacuated?
  • (14)Yes, ma'am, but first let me clarify something before I begin with what happened. The Taal volcano was an eruption from Volcano Island's main crater. Calabarzon, Metro Manila, several areas of Central Luzon, and Pangasinan, in the Ilocos Region, all received ash from the eruption, which forced the cancellation of courses, work schedules, and flights. There were reports of ashfalls and volcanic thunderstorms, and the island was forcibly evacuated. There were also possible volcanic tsunami alerts. Above the crater of the volcano, ash clouds and volcanic lightning were visible.
  • (15) Additionally, it developed into a magmatic eruption, which is distinguished by a lava fountain with lightning and thunder.More than 736,000 people in CALABARZON (Region IV-A), Central Luzon (Region III), and the National Capital Region (NCR) were impacted by it, and it also caused damage to livelihoods and infrastructure, forced the evacuation of more than 135,000 people, and interrupted vital services like water delivery and education.
  • (17)Okay, ma'am
  • (12) Me, ma'am!
  • (17)To start the story of what happened when the Taal volcano erupted, I can only remark that the events were both swift and terrible. My family and I went to church on Sunday, January 12, 2020, and afterwards we headed to my grandmother's house in Brgy. Dita Cuenca, Batangas after we went to church. When I was walking with my cousin to buy something in the afternoon, we smelled something unpleasant but disregarded it and continued walking. When we got back to my grandmother's house from the store, my cousin's stepfather informed my mother that the near volcano was erupting and that the scent we had been smelling was volcanic sulfur dioxide. As a result, we went straight home to our house. When we got home, there were a lot of people on the road watching the volcano erupt. First of all, I can state that we were terrified and unsure of what to do, so we prepared things and I kept my friends, especially those in my immediate circle, such as Audrey, Andreyka, Mharsene, Jellysa, and Jackie, informed of the situation. In this circumstance, we took the precautions that should be taken before volcanic eruptions.
