- Well, if you want to jump higher, you need to use Newton's Third Law: if one object applies a force onto another, that object will also apply an equal force back.
- Can you teach me how to jump higher?
- So basically, you have to push harder into the ground. If you do this, the ground will exert more force back onto you and you will jump higher.
- The boy goes to his science teacher, remembering being taught Newton's Laws of Motion. His teacher reminds him of the third law: for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. He will use this information and try to dunk again tomorrow.

- Let's do this. Just push off the ground as hard as you can, and you will dunk today.

- The boy is very excited for today. He feels very confident with the advice from his science teacher. Today, he will prove everyone wrong.

- Oh my goodness! I did it! I dunked the basketball!
- Wow! The little guy did it!
- Using his newfound knowledge, the boy jumps higher than ever and dunks for the first time! He is ecstatic for proving everyone wrong. Science really does work!
