D for Democrats! Democrats are a group of people who try to run for presidency.They might have different ideas on how to run the government, like how a principal runs a school!

E for Espionage Act, this government act allows the government to suppress some rights to make sure everyone is safe when the USA is at war.

F for Federal Reserve Act! Do you ever wonder where banks get a lot of their money from, well its the Federal Reserve! The federal reserve is a bank for all banks, and helps keep money flowing through the economy so it doesn't go down.

G for Gideon V Wainwright! This Court case is important, because it makes sure that you can never be treated unfairly by the government!

H for HUAC, or House Un-American Activities Committee! This committee was a perfect example of how the government was being unfair, and is important to know your rights and amendments.

I for Interstate commerce! Interstate commerce means trading or buying between states, and this is important because it shows how the government is the boss of the state governments!

J for James Madison, James Madison is important because he made a lot of arguments and helped negotiate the U.S. Constitution!

K for Know Nothing Party! This party is important because it was the first party to focus on anti slavery and civil rights, and led to the republican party!

L for Laissez-Faire! This means that government lets everyone influence the economy themselves, and they wont interfere or help. This is important because a lot of parties had this approach at first.

M for McCulloch V Maryland! This court case also showed how the Federal government is more powerful, and is the boss of the state government.

N for nineteenth amendment! The Nineteenth amendment gave women the right to vote. This is important because this was a step closer to fairness for everyone.

O for Open primary! When you vote, some of the officials can participate in this and choose a primary.

P for Political Action Committee, These committees help build campaigns and help you choose which president is better!

Q for Quorum! This is the smallest amount of congressmen to show up, to conduct an actual meeting.

R for redistricting! Have you moved at all? Well, if you did, redistricting makes sure that when you vote your vote still matters by redrawing the district lines.

S for Selective Incorporation! Remember we talked about the constitution? Well this allows the Federal Government (The big government) to make sure that all of the amendments apply to the state governments (small government).

T for Third Party! There are Republicans and Democrats , which are the main parties, but that doesn't mean there aren't anymore! Do your research!

U is for Unanimous votes! Before the modern constitution, the government required congress to have an unanimous vote, which means that everyone had to vote the same or nothing could be allowed.

V is for veto! The president has the power to say no for bills passed by congress, but hold you horses! If congress doesn't agree they can repass it with 2/3 vote from all congress men.

W is for whistleblower , someone who reports wrongdoing in a government agency, like the FBI.

X for Xenocracy! This means that a certain government was started by people who weren't from the land originally.

Y for yellow journalism! Yellow Journalism isn't just a yellow journal, but it means that certain media or newspapers have been untruthful.
