I'm Sophie and this is my philosophy of education!
I think it is very important for children to learn the value of communication, and the ability to work with others
I think the most important thing in a child's education is balance
Main beliefs
more in depth explanation of overall beliefs and why they are effective
balance between different learning styles will accomodate the needs of all children and help younger children understand what style works for them
a balance between normal school subjects and lessons promoting compassion and people skills will help children be successful in their future careers
As I said before, teachers that use a variety of teaching methods, pulling aspects from people like Piaget, Vygotsky, and Skinner along with being able to explain concepts multiple ways will be able to cater to the largest amount of students
An effective teacher can be the deciding factor in a child's education
explanation
While completing said tasks, teachers should provide positive reinforcement and words of encouragement to push them to continue to try their hardest (Skinner)
use of theorist learning styles
Children should also be given the opportunity to learn from/collaborate with their peers as explanations from those of their own age range may help children to understand concepts better (Vygotsky)
Teachers should present children with tasks that are appropriate, but educational for their age range in order for them to learn without being frustrated with overly difficult tasks (Piaget)
Good learning environment
It's important for children to learn to communicate with others and work effectively with them, even if they don't get along as they will have to do this their whole life
I think the most effective learning environment is one in which children are seated at tables in small groups
The classroom should be a blend between lectures from the teachers, and independent work time, in which the students can freely communicate and connect with each other
