- The angry step mother nags the woodcutter and tells him to leave his children in the woods.

- The goose can help us get across the river
- The woodcutter leaves his children in the woods for the second time and Hansel and Gretel are unable to find their way back.
- Falling Action
- Let's find father and share this with him!
- Hansel and Gretel stay under a tree for the night and in the morning they wonder the forest and find a candy house where a witch lived.
- Denouement
- The witch tricked the children and trapped Hansel. Gretel pushed the witch into the fire when she had the chance. She freed her brother.
- They stayed at the candy home for a few days until they discovered a giant egg with golden coins inside. They took the coins and went to find their father and home.
- The woodcutter was crying because his wife passed, but he was glad to see his children. Hansel and Gretel comforted him by showing him the golden coins.
