- Oh ok, and Dr. what are the types of nervous system?
- WOW, interesting!!!Can I also get some information about types of nerve cells and their functions and control.
- First, we should know what all consists in the nervous system, which is the brain, the spinal cord and nerves. Let's come to your question. There are 2 types of nervous system which is the peripheral nervous system and the central nervous system. The brain and spinal cord consist in the central nervous system and nerves consist in the peripheral nervous system.

- Yea, sure. Nerves have nerve cells also called neuron. There are 3 types of nerves that are sensory nerves, Motor nerves and mixed nerves. Sensory nerves take messages from sense organs to the brain (spinal cord). Motor nerves take messages from the brain (spinal cord) to other parts of the body. Mixed nerves take messages in both the directions i.e. between the brain (spinal cord) and to other parts of the body.
