Here Hereward the wake is being exiled by Arthur the confessor. He was exiled because of his disobedience to his father and disruptive behaviour. He was named Hereward the outlaw. He was only 18 when he was exiled

Hereward the Wake and his companions were fighting a guerrilla war against the Normans. This means they fought them behind their backs then disappeared.
When Hereward arrived back to his town after fighting his guerrilla war he found out that his town had been sized by Normans and was currently under the rule of Normans.
When Hereward the wake went to see the archbishop he was met by the new archbishop named Turold who had replaced the archbishop Hereward knew.
In 1077 the Danes made their way to Ely and on their way Hereward the wake and some other men joined them. Hereward does not want the Normans to have the treasure so he convinces the Dans to help him rob the Peterborough Abbey.
After Hereward, the Wake and the Dans rob Peterborough and succeed they go separate paths. The Dans go back to Denmark with all the treasure.
