- HARRY THE HAIRY HUMAN
- Harry's father was a zookeeper. When Harry was born he was around the zoo all the time. He is in awe of all of the creatures in the zoo. But there is one in particular that really catches his attention, Goliath. Harry is young and impressionable, not knowing if he should seek guidance from his father or Goliath.
- But every day when they leave the zoo to go home, harry forgets all about Goliath
- As he grew from ages 2-5, he went out more. As soon as he was able to walk, he ventured around the zoo. He discovered more and more animals in his adventures. He chats with the Parrots about his life, but the parrots only mimic what the child says. Even though the gorilla is very quiet, Harry is more attached to Goliath than Peggie the Parrot.
- Harry dosent understand why Peggie is sad when Harry only choses hangs out with Goliath.
- At 9 years old, Harry's mother was killed doing what she loved most, bird watching. Harry turns into a very quiet child, found mostly talking to Goliath, but he never got any response. Harry didn't need one, just someone to talk to while his dad was busy with the other animals.
- At the age of 11, he met a girl at the zoo. She was very pretty, he thought. She had two pigtails and a pretty blue dress with red polka dots. She is taller thim, which makes Harry feel inferior. He was worried that he would never grow to be as tall or big as the giraffes in the zoo.
- His worries were quickly put down by the time he was 15. He had grown over 6 inches from 5’3” to 5’9” in just a year! He also finds hair under his arms and on his upper lip. He is confused about all of the other hair though. He knows that boys this age grow hair under their arms but what about on his arms? Or his neck? Or even his face?! He starts to look more and more like Goliath, his old best friend.
- While Harry is at college, he manages his hair with razors and wax, but still is very self conscious about his looks. He misses Goliath while he is at college and is not a very out going student.
- That is until he goes to his first class of junior year, psych 101. He bumps into a beautiful girl with pigtails. He remembers her from his days at the zoo, what are the odds? He worries about losing himself in college, or even in her.
