- We have some eighty five affiliated organizations across the South, and one of them is the Alabama Christian Movement for Human Rights. Frequently we share staff, educational and financial resources with our affiliates.
- ETHOS
- By saying this, King is showing his credibility and trustworthiness, because he is not only explaining how is is President of the Southern Christian Leadership Group in the full quote, but he is doing something very good for the community, and he is in a group that stands for something very important.

- "But when you have seen vicious mobs lynch your mothers and fathers at will and drown your sisters and brothers at whim; when you have seen hate-filled policemen curse, kick and even kill your black brothers and sisters... then you will understand why we find it difficult to wait."
- Pathos
- When Martin Luther King says this, it is putting his readers and listeners in his and his and other African American shoes, and it creates a very strong emotional response, and plays a crucial part in persuading the reader to understand why others and him can wait no longer...

- LOGOS
- "Written in the 'Book of American Entitlement' is the statement that 'all men are created equal.' It is a lie that has continued to plague our nation and one that we have failed to acknowledge."
- When he says this he is providing us literal evidence that what is happening in Alabama and across the Nation is unjust, and not payed attention to, therefore making this statement Logos.
