- Where's Monday? You know she woulnd't miss school, let alone the first day?
- Happy First Day
- She's probly just running late. Don't worry about it, go meet up with your other friends. Have good first day!
- It's been months. Why hasn't anyone noticed that Monday is missing? And she hasn't picked up the phone. I have to write that paper but Monday's not here to help me. My grades are so bad.
- I hate taking this class but it is helping my grades and Michael's grandma makes a great tutor.
- Where's Monday?
- In the top of the panel it is the first day of 8th grade. Claudia is nervous but is looking forward to talking to Monday. When Claudia arrvies at school and Monday is nowhere to be found she starts to stress. Monday loves school and would never miss a day, especially the first. Before she leaves the car Cluadia asks her mom if she sees Monday anywhere. Her mom brushes her off unaware of the fact that Monday is Cluadia's only friend. Claudia assures herslef the Monday is only running late and heads inside to her first class. On the bottom part of the panel this scene is about Cluadia not talking or seeing Monday for months. She hasn't answered Claudia's calls and she hasn't been at school. No one else seems to notice her diaperance expect Cluadia.
- What's happeneing?!
- Hey, that's Mrs. Charles house!
- In this scene Claudia has been put into a class that will help her with school. It has been discovered that she has dyslexia so she is finally getting the help she needs. She has also gotten a tutor who turns out to be Michael's grandma, a boy from her church. She is still searching for Monday but with no luck. No one seems to realize that Monday has dissapeard. Claudia is starting to get frustrated but reassures herself that she will find Monday.

- Yes, I remember everything that happened.
- This panal is broken up into four important scenes from the book. In the top left it shows Claudia's first high school basketball game she's ever gone to, Michael invitied her to go with him. While she was there she saw April, Monday's sister. Claudia follows April into an empty classroom to hopefully get information on where Monday is. In the top right scene it shows Claudia is yet again asking if Monday is home. April is annoyed by Claudia's pestering and finally lets her into their arpartment, since Mrs. Charles won't be home until later. Claudia is still startled by the incident that happened when she had gone over to ask if Monday was home the last time. Again Monday is nowhere to be found. Mrs. Charles unexpectedly comes home and Claudia rushes to exit the house. She narrowly escapes through the bathroom window. On the bottom left scene it shows Ms. Valente, Claudia's 7th grade teacher. She is the only other person who seems to notice Monday's dissaperance. Claudia has asked for infomation on where Monday might be since she keeps getting different answers. On the bottom right scene it shows the gas station where Monday's dad works. Claudia and Michael had made a plan to meet Monday's dad but before they could even talk to him he ran back into his car and drove off. Leaving Claudia and Micheal without any answers.
- In this scene it shows the police right outside Mrs. Charles's home. A commotion has started so more and more neighbors are coming out to see what's the matter. It is later reaveled that Monday and August have been found.
- In this panel Claudia is talking to April about what happened with Monday and August, since Claudia can now recall everything. She asks April what she's going to do after everything. April explains her side of the story and also tells Claudia that she is now living with her aunt. April is worried about what will happen to Tuesday, her little sister, after she goes to court. Claudia and April are still in their recovery phase and are just taking one day at a time.
