Storyboard Description
Wenn die Schüler ein Lieblingszitat oder eine Lieblingsszene aus dem Buch auswählen, können sie ausdrücken, welche Teile der Geschichte auf persönlicher Ebene mit ihnen in Resonanz standen. Auf diese Weise stellen die Schüler eine Text-zu-Selbst-Verbindung her, die ihr Verständnis der Charaktere und ihrer Entwicklung oder der Themen des Romans demonstriert. Die Schüler können anschließend ihre Storyboards teilen und eine kurze Diskussion darüber führen, was die Zitate für sie bedeuten.

- FAVORITE QUOTE from A NIGHT DIVIDED
- Gerta doesn't trust Officer Muller for good reason. He threatened her just for looking at the Berlin Wall and he also uncovered her and Fritz's secret tunnel and nearly turned them in. However, in the end, Officer Muller sacrifices himself to save Gerta. He tries to get his wife and baby to freedom in the West but tragically doesn't make it there himself, paying the ultimate price. It demonstrates how the repressive regime of East Germany turned neighbors and friends against one another. It further shows one's capacity to change for good.
