- TODAY I WILL EXPLAIN THE PANAMA CANAL AND HOW WAS ALL THE HISTORY
- President Roosevelt realized that the goods ways were too long. So he thought that the US could make a deal with Panama and create a canal in Panama it can be a good transported quicker.
- LET'S START, MAKING A CANAL
- Ok let's start because we want the independence
- At that moment Colombia was taking control of Panama, but Panama wanted to fight for independence, so Panama declared war on Colombia for the Panamanian Revolution.
- Let's start these independence is war!
- After, the Colombian government demanded the US for $40 million because they did a treat with Panama to build their own canal in 1904.
- Instead of having Colombia making you pay a huge amount for the canal, we can let you pay for $10 million !

- Building the canal wasn't no to easy. There were some challenges along the way and a lot of problems. The Panama Canal took 10 years to build. In the time for building started a lot of infections, diseases and more, Workers died from Malaria, Yellow Fever, and construction accidents.
- Exactly, and at that time also were a lot of problems with the government because of all the deaths of the builders and the time that took building the canal
- At that time 5,000 men died from deadly transmitted diseases and construction accidents
- In 1914, the Panama Canal was finally completed! After the canal was built, it was much easier to ship. It took half a day to get other transport to other countries. And Imperialism has started
