Beowulf's Adventure
Storyboard Text
- People are celebrating what Beowulf did , in order for him to get treated as Horthgar's own son. Beowulf and his warriors received gifts from the king and queen(canto14-18)
- Congrats my son, will shall celebrate in victory
- Grendel’s mother sought revenge for the death of her son. She kills Hrothgar’s closest friend and advisor because Beowulf isn’t there and she’s able to do as she wishes. She killed his friend and advisor to take back the severed arm of her son to fen. (canto19)
- Hrothgar tells Beowulf the lost of his friend and about the murderous mother of Grendel. The people working in the field were scared and they fled to find help in Herot hoping Beowulf would be there. They lead Beowulf to Grendel’s mother's place , where he agrees to kill her.(canto20-21)
- Soon he saw the mighty water witch and swung his sword, but his sword couldn’t harm her. The mail shirt he wore protect him from getting stabbed by Grendal’s mother. God then gave him the spirit and helped Beowulf get up to fight again.(Canto 22)
- Beowulf saw a sword and took it to kill Grendal’s mother. After her death, he went and slayed more monsters. He got back up to shore with a jeweled hilt and Grendel’s head.(canto 23)
- Beowulf recounts his adventure and gives the king the hilt of Grendel’s mother’s sword. He doesn’t mention his failures because God helped him out. (canto24-30)
