Baxter is a very curious bee. He has always wonder what the difference between the 4 types of economies were and he loves to go on adventures and learn new things. Baxter was bored one day and decided he was goinhg to travel aroud the world to see and learn about the 4 different types of economies.
Baxter goes to Gardenia
Baxters first stop was in the country of Daisy. In Daisy, The government determines what goods should be produced, how much should be produced, and the price at which the goods are offered for sale. Daisy is a command economy. In a command economy the resources are owed and controlled by the government.
Baxter goes to Peony
NExt Baxter flew to the country pf Orchid. Orchid has a Market economy this means that the resources are owned and controlled by the people of the country. Orchid is highly dependent upon the import of natural resources. The business owners are the one who are able to decide what goods to sell and stock
Baxter arrives home
After Orchid Baxter flew to Gardenia. In Gardenia the governmet controls most reasources, but people can make chices about thier jobs. This is an example of a mixed ecomnoy. A mixed economy combines the elements of the command and market economies.
Baxters last stop was Peony. Poeny is a less develpoed compared to the other coutries. There ecomony run off of traditions, customs, and beliefs that help shape the goods and services the economy produces. This country is ran off of a traditional economy were goods and services are porduced the same way it always has been.
After a long day of travel, Baxter the bee arrived home. He was so happy that he was finally able to understand the 4 types of economies and how they all work with each country.
