Storyboard Text

  • Throughout the book, George and Lennie talk about their dream. They aspire to have a plot of land and to work for themselves. They could go out when they wanted, grow their food, and have livestock. Their hopes for the future are to have a place where they belong and can stay. George and Lennie make efforts to achieve their ambition but continue to see and talk about it as a fictional story rather than an actual plan to comfort themselves.
  • Can I tend the rabbits now, George?
  • Curly's wife tells Lennie about her dream, stating that she could be in movies and living her life to the fullest. Then, she explains to him that she ended up marrying a man who she doesn't have any interest in after her plan fell through. She finds difficulty in coping with the change of plans and looks at her aspirations as a dream out of reach. She recalls her dream to help ease the loneliness and rejection she feels.
  • Coulda been in the movies, an' had nice clothes
