- David was the youngest of 8 sons of Jesse, he was a well- known humble shepherd, farmer and sheep breeder of the Israelite tribe of Judah. David spent most of his child hood tending his family's flock. He was also a very talented musician and was good with the harp.
- David - Marrying Michal
- King Saul fires David from his court but makes him a commander in his army. David is successful as a worrier in Saul's army that the king offers his daughter in marriage to David. David married Michal, who fell in love with David and married him for one hundred Philistine soldiers dead.. Saul hoped that David would be killed in battle, but David was victorious and married Michal. According to the Torah, Merab, Saul's older daughter was to have married David, but she was given in matrimony to Adriel the Meholathite. Michal later disrespected David publicly, she was punished with a prophecy that to her dying day she would have no children. The Aggadah recounts that Michal had a son on the day she died.

- David lived in Bethlehem, Samuel the prophet went to the town of Bethlehem and anointed the shepherd David as the future king of Israel. The prophet Samuel told him that Yahweh had chosen him to become king of Israel. David at the time was between the age of 12-15 years old.

- After David had killed Goliath Saul was surprised and yet he was also a bit jealous.This led to King Saul to become really sad . His servants suggesteda harp player as the harp is a calming instrument . David was hired. for the Job Music was known to have a therapeutic effect. This is were King Saul later tried to kill David.
- David was sent by his dad Jesse to visit his brothers bring back battle news from them. When David had arrived he heard Goliath mocking Israel their God, the Israelites were all scared but David was brave volunteered to fight Goliath, he persuaded King Saul to let him go fight decided to not wear any of King Saul's amor. David carried his sling and gathered five smooth stones. Goliath laughed at David but David responded, even though Goliath had amor he came in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel. David slung one of the rocks at Goliath's head, the rock hit the giant's forehead he fell. David then picked up Goliath's sword and used it to cut off his head. David went around parading Goliaths head.

- David ran away because by Saul because of David's success and Saul sought to kill him. David rant to the person who anointed him, Samuel. He stays there and rads Torah until he has to run away againWith a chance to kill Saul, David cuts off a piece of Sauls gown saying,”I was close to you,I could have killed you but I did not. I only want peace.”
