- Hi! I am a NOMAD, and I have no permanent home. I wonder around looking for a temporary place where I can hunt and forage for food.
- This stage in the rise of cities is called EARLY FARMING BY HAND, because people back then did not have access to tools to help them work.
- Hello! My civilization and I have now discovered AGRICULTURE, and are now farming food instead of foraging for it.
- Hello, again! My civilization and I are now more developed, and we use better TECHNOLOGY for a more efficient farming method. We call this ADVANCED FARMING WITH CAPITAL RESOURCES.
- CAPITAL RESOURCES are human-made resources created for the purpose of humans.
- This is when job specialization started and permanent homes started.
- As you can see here, I am SPECIALIZING in pottery because I am good at it. We now have permanent homes so that we don't need to be constantly moving.
- This is when population growth started, and more people were part of the city.
- Our city has grown! We now have more people so that farming and working is more efficient.
- *This comic is slightly inaccurate; The same boy is explaining the whole process, even though the process took over one thousand years. Please excuse the inconvenience.
- My little town used a SURPLUS, or the extra that we had to build an entire city.
- This is the final stage of the rise of civilizations. It's a civilization! Think about what modern cities look like. Who knows what the future holds?
