Storyboard Text
"You can just take that back boy!"
"If I fight Cecil I would let Atticus down.
"You might hear some ugly talk about it at school... just hold your head high and keep those fists down."
Scout showed immaturity when she fought Cecil Jacobs because he said that her father defends n-word.
"n-word lover"
Scout learned when Atticus told her about the trial and how they will receive hate. He also asked her if she can stop fighting.
"Try fighting with your head for a change . . . it’s a good one, even if it does resist learning."
Scout showed growth when Cecil told her what his parents think of Atticus and she remembered her father's words and chose to walk away.
"You ain't fair"
Scout show immaturity again by punching Francis when he insulted Atticus by calling him names. She split her knuckle on his tooth.
Scout learned when Atticus told her to start changing the way she fights. To use her head instead of physically fighting.
Scout showed her growth by explaining to Uncle Jack why she hit him as well as giving him a lesson about children.
