- The theory of evolution was that evolution happens with original life forms that evolved into multiple different species. it also states that evolution happens by natural selection. here is how charles darwin came to find this out...

- After sailing on the beagle, Charles Darwin arrived at galapagos island, where he researched many things
- while studying, he realized....
- wow! all of these birds have different beaks?!
- seeing this, he researched some more. he came to find that many birds and reptiles on the island were evolved species. he came to conclude that this meant some of the species, once given the time to evolve, would be more adapt to their environment, leading to the belief that evolution happens by natural selection
- and that, kids, is the story of how the theory of evolution came to be. once he got back, he published a book that helped us create many evolution ideas to this day!
