- THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT?
- What is it?The greenhouse effect is a natural phenomenon which makes life on earth possible by allowing the sun to warm the earth. This is done througha thin layer around earth called an atmosphere becauseit contains green house gases (eg carbon dioxide and nitrogen) whcih allows solar radiation to penetrate.
- What is its impact?The greenhouse effect may seem good because without it our planet would be uninhabitable and frozed, but it is a prime reason for global warming When Greenhouses attract heat, heat gets trapped in the atmosphere and as more and more heat is attracted and trapped, global warming is created.
- Why does this happen?You might be thinking how this effect is naturally created for destructing our planet. Well, the answer is that its not. It is humans that rise the amounts of greenhouse gases which then attract even more heat, creating more global warming.
- 1. reuse, reduce, recycle or refuse plastic2. dont waste much water3. do not waste electricity4. use green, less energy-consuming forms of transport (bikes, public transport)
- Luckily, there are solutions some to stop the greenhouse effect before global warming reaches too far.
