- I'm well! How about you?
- I'm fine. You seen all this stuff about Eric Garner recently?
- The guy killed in Staten Island? Yeah I saw if for a second on the news last night. It's pretty crazy.
- Yeah. He really should have known better.
- Yeah. Wait...who should have known better?
- The Garner guy. He should have known better than to resist the police.
- I'm not sure if it's as simple as you're making it.
- The fact is, he probably would have kept on breaking the law anyway.
- But how can you say that? You didn't even know him.
- Yeah...but I know his type.
- What's that supposed to mean? I think you're being kind of racist right now.
- Oh come on, John. It's not racist to think a guy like him would break the law. More blacks go to jail than whites in this country, you know.
- But that still doesn't mean you can speak to his case specifically.
- Well, I just know what my insides and the statistics tell me.
- You might want to look at the facts again before you say things like that.
- Fine! I guess I won't walk around the neighborhood with you anymore!
- I'm just sorry you feel the way that you do. Your logic has some holes, and I think you're being very unfair and insensitive.
- I don't need to listen to this anymore. I'm going inside.
