- The Intolerable Act
- You've guys have done nothing but tax everything that we need to live a normal life!
- This is what you get for destroying all of our tea!
- The 1st Continental Congress
- We need to help the people in Boston, because there every move is watched over by England.
- No we should not do that because we could be hanged or changed with treason.
- The Battle of Lexington
- They won't. How could they fight against me and 700 men?
- Sir, what happens if the colonist fight back?
- In 1774, the Intolerable Act was made by the British. This said that they had to close the Boston Harbor until the colonist paid for the tea. The groups of Boston had to get authorized to hold meetings meetings. The British also put an order where it is illegal to sell tea.
- The Battle of Concord
- This is were we take our independents back.
- In 1774, The 1st Continental Congress meet. 50 leaders from 12 colonies. Despite their differences they decide to work together to become independent from the British. They were going to boycott British goods. They are not going to be buying good from them.
- The 2nd Continental Congress
- I will be the leader of our new militia now.
- In 1775, a British General Thomas Gage went to Concord with 700 troops. They went to take a storage of weapons to use in the war away from the colonist. When Gaga and his men searched the storage and nothing was there. They have hidden them somewhere else. A Patriot victory.
- When the British were on guard by there being nothing in the storage, the Americans lead by Isaac Davis ambushed them. The Americans shoot at them and killed Gage. The British were expecting them to retreat because they have already won Lexington. This was an American victory.
- Ok... ok... we surrender.
- On May, 1775, the 2nd Continental Congress met in Philadelphia. The New England militia was amassed around Boston and George Washington becomes the leader of the militia.
- The British would be mad at us and start a war with us.
