- I have come from outer space to learn more about this planet earth.
- No I have not, but I would love to learn more.
- Have you ever heard of the book of Exodus in the bible.
- Hello there alien. Where have you come from?
- What is Exodus all about though?
- How does the book as a whole connect with the whole rest of the bible?
- Well some of themes of Exodus was God's grace and how he provides for us when we are weak, stubbornness, God seeing us when we are suffering, sacrifices and so on.
- Some of these themes are shown all through the bible.
- I've heard people talk about this Jesus guy, is he in Exodus?
- Well no Jesus is not in Exodus but he definitely is shown through the book of Exodus.
- Well I would say Exodus was really the shaping of Israel. It made what Israel was for the rest of the OT and NT. It showed the struggles that Israel went through.
- Many of the Israelites went through years of pain and suffering and some of them didn't even get to the promise land. Just like Jesus they gave up there life for other people to prosper.
- So all of this happened a long time ago, but how can we applied this to our lives today?
- So that can apply to us today how?
- Well for Israel they had to go through hard times, but when it was over they prospered and they had better times.
- Well thanks for teaching me about Exodus.
- Well when we are going through hard times we can remember that God has a plan for us and we can count on him.
