  • The Stamp Act (1765) the British wanted the colonists to pay fair taxes because the colonies weren't paying as much as British so they added taxes to paper, stamps, etc. They put tax on almost everything so the colonies had to pay as much as the British. 
  • The Tea Act (1773)
  • This tea is too expensive... I'm waayy to broke! I gotta complai!
  • The Quartering Act (1765) The Quartering Act was that British Soldiers could come into colonists house and have the owners of the house take care of them like, buy them vinegar and liquor, cook, let them sleep there, and clean their stuff. The colonists didn't like the quartering act because they had to spend their own money and have their own house taken up by British Soliders.
  • The Boston Tea Party (1773)
  • The Boston Massacre (1770) The British Soldiers were in Boston and the Colonists were angry and started yelling and the Soldiers.
  • The Battle of Lexington/Concord (1775)
  • The tea act was lord north's attempted to rescue the British East India company. The american boycott of British tea hurt the company a lot The tea act lowered the cost of the tea from the company giving the company complete control over tea sales in the colonies. THe colonies weren't fooled and thought it was another way to be taxed without consent.

  • When British East India company's tea had arrived, angry protesters kept them from unloading, some ships turned back. On December 16, 1773 the sons of liberty decided they wanted to unload the tea, but not in a usual way. The sons of liberty dumped 90,000 pounds of tea overboard into the sea, some dressed as Indians.
