  • So if our Va is x-3=0 and the value of x is 3, the our Ha will be 01 and y=0?
  • That's right, Joe! You're a fast learner!
  • In our example, f(x)= 1/x-3, the degree of numerator is is less than the degree of denominator then the graph of f has a line of y=0.
  • But as I've said earlier, we have 3 conditions when getting the HA. The first condition is applied to our example, If the degree of numerator is less than the degree of the denominator, then the graph of f has the line of y=0.
  • The second degree is if the degree of numerator and denominator are equal , then the graph of f has the line of y=a/b where a and b are the leading coefficient of the numerator and denominator.
  • The third condition, If the numerator is greater than the degree of denominator then it means that the o of f has no horizontal asymptote.
  • What about the third condition?
  • Reaching their school, Vier is still explaining their lesson to Joe for better understanding.
  • Good morning, Class! We'll be having our surprise quiz about our previous lesson.
  • Vier is now explaining to Joe the 3 conditions of getting the Horizontal Asymptote.
  • Don't mention it, Joe! Congrats on getting the perfect score!
  • Vier! Thank you so much for explaining to me the parts I am confused about. I got a perfect score in our quiz!
  • Vier explained to Joe the last condition in getting the Horizontal Asymptote
  • As they reach their classroom their teacher announced that they will be having a surprise quiz about their previous lesson, which was the Graph of a Rational Function.
  • Joe thanked Vier for explaining to her their lesson that resulting Joe to have a perfect score on their quiz.
