Paris takes Helen
Due to the limited amount of room to farm, the Greeks decided to turn to the ocean and became excellent sailors. Greece was now able to travel to distant lands.
The fight for Paris
Due to Greece being really good sailors they had access to distant land. These distant lands helped Greece learn about new cultures, ideas, customs, and ways of life.
The "award"
Prince Paris had a big crush on this girl Helen but she was in the city-state of Sparta and was the king's wife. One day when Paris went to Sparta Helen went with him back to Troy. When the king woke up and saw that Helen wasn't there he asked his guards and they said that she went with Paris to Troy. The king was pissed.
The King of Sparta was so mad about this that he sent tens of thousands of soldiers to Troy. There was one huge problem, the walls of Troy were too high and the soldiers couldn't get into Troy.
After 10 years of fighting Sparta gave up on fighting. A man by the name of Odysseus came up with the idea of making Troy a huge wooden horse as a "Gift" for their victory. The reason behind it is that 5 soldiers would hide in the horse and when the horse got in the gates they would sneak out and then open them and then Sparta soldiers would destroy the city and then get Helen back.
