Storyboard Text

  • Hello, my name is Floszon and over there is my friend Grikun.
  • Today we are going to tell you about how our shelters and ways of getting food has changed!
  • Zzz.. Caves are where people used to sleep.
  • To hunt, we have to use sharp sticks and throw them accurately and strongly into the animal.
  • Food animals like myself do not want to be killed so we usually attack the hunters.
  • While Grikun is building, I get to relax and enjoy the fact that we get to live in a shelter that we made by our selves.
  • It is amazing how humans evolve in their smarts and body features overtime.
  • Floszon and Grikun are people from the Paleolithic Age which was 2 million years ago. They will be explaining how overtime, their shelter and food supply has changed into making the Neolithic Age.
  • Animals are now easier to hunt because us the bow and arrow, it is still very dangerous for hunters though.
  • During the Paleolithic Age, hunters had to hunt with sharp sticks which threatened the animals. The animals would usually attack the hunters because the threat. The hominins during this age also had to sleep in caves because they were unable to make their own shelters with the size of their brains. The people of the Old Stone Age had to travel a lot to make sure their supplies do not run out too.
  • I could use the seeds to make our own farm instead of having to hunt!
  • As hominins evolved, their brains grew larger. The smarts of a person was hyphened and made it possible for hominins to build shelters with resources around them.
  • Now that we are able to stay in one place, we could build permanent houses.
  • Part of a hominins growing brain smarts helped them create the first bow and arrow. This was used to hunt animals for food. Even though this invention was created, it was still very dangerous and the hominins still had to travel.
  • As time went by, people figured out that they could plant seeds and grow crops in one place instead of having to move. It would be easier for hominins to live and eat. This is what started the Neolithic Age.
  • We are able to stay in one place and plant crops instead of having to search and hunt for food.
  • Being able to have access to food without traveling gave people great opportunities. People were now able to make permanent homes, start communities, have different roles, and overall make living more "efficient".
  • With permanent houses, people could start communities and establish jobs.
