- After revieving the news that she was pregnant, a girl determined she was not ready to be and mother. So, she explored her options...
- Does the Constitution recognize a woman's right to terminate her pregnancy by abortion?
- This girl came to the difficult conclusion that she would have an abortion. However, she soon found out since her unborn child did not pose a threat to her she would not be able to have an abortion.

- After contacting her attorney, her case was recomended to two women, Sarah Weddington and Linda Coffee, who agreed to take of her case. Weddington and Coffee were lawyers part of a group of women in Texas who challenged anti-abortion laws.

- With her lawyers help, the girl filed a lawsuit agaisnt Henry Wade, the district attorney of Dallas County in Texas. To protect her identity in court, the girl used the name, "Jane Roe", but later her real name was revealved as Norma McCorvey The case was agrued and appealled their case before finally reaching the Supreme Court.

- On January 22, 1973, the 7-2 court decision in the girls favor was finalized. She had won the case. During the period of time in which she was involved in the case she gave birth to her child and put it up for adoption. Even though she was not longer fighting because of her personal issues, she was fighting for the rights of other women.

- During present day, there is a large amount of controversy over the topic of abortions. Many question if this court case should be revisited or overturned, yet the decision made in Roe v. Wade stands.
