  • This is the Roman Colosseum its an amphitheater in the center of the modern day city of Rome, Italy. It is the largest ancient amphitheater ever built and an achievement in roman architecture. It was used as a stadium for naval battles and gladiator fights.
  • These are roman aqueducts. They supply cites with fresh water from high sources. They slant slightly so that the water that it carries can flow down them. Its arches that help distribute its weight show roman engineering.
  • This is a the Pantheon a former Roman temple that later became a Catholic church. It was ordered to be built by the emperor Hadrian. This is an example of roman architecture and religion sense the inside changes as the roman religions change.
  • This is the arch of Constantine. It shows the achievements of Roman engineering using arches. It is a gateway to commemorate Constantine's victory over Maxentius at the Battle of Milvian Bridge

  • While rich boys got a formal education rich girls were taught how to manage a house and children for when they became a wife.
  • Most Romans would usually eat at fast food restaurants like this. The food served was mainly fish, chicken, sausages, a variety of fruits and veggies. They imported the foods they didn't have like grain and exotic fruits. That was usually seasoned with briny sauces, honey, or with salt and pepper and drank with wine.
