- DAVID KORESH
- David Koresh was the head of the Branch Davidians, a Christian cult from the 1980's to 1993. David Koresh played a central role in the Waco siege in 1993. The series of events that led up to the MASSACRE are as follows.

- This is the Mount Carmel Compound. The home of the Branch Davidians and the location of the Waco Siege
- David Koresh was a master manipulator, and after gaining control of the Branch Davidians, gained an extensive following for his Christian haven space in Waco Texas.

- David Koresh would repeatedly warn of the day of Jesus' return, and that any force against them was a force against religion and is to be met with VIOLENCE.
- "He said to them, ‘But now if you have a purse, take it, and also a bag; and if you don’t have a sword, sell your cloak and buy one."
- Branch Davidians were a sect cult off of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, which believed in Jesus' inevitable return to Earth, where judgement day will come

- In preparation to fight for their religion, the Branch Davidians stockpiled hundreds of guns, some of which illegal or unregistered.
- But after a delivery driver had seen that in one of the containers were hollowed out grenades, he alerted the authorities, and the ATF got involved.
- After some surveillance, the ATF planned a surprise raid on the compound.
- FEBRUARY 28, 1993
- COME OUT WITH YOU'RE HANDS UP!
- After the ATF's retreat, the FBI had to get involved. Surrounding the compound with a plethora of military grade equipment and negotiators.
- On the first day of the siege, ATF agents surrounded the house, ordering the peaceful arrest of David Koresh. As David Koresh walked out the front door with his hands up...

- No one knows who fired the first shot
- After the initial shootout, David Koresh had been shot in the wrist and shoulder
- 21 children in total were released, all without their parents. There were still 25 children inside.

- The FBI began implementing Psychological Warfare Tactics
- BREAKING... THE ATF RUN OUT OF AMMUNITION AT MOUNT CARMEL AND ARE FORCED TO RETREAT!!
- Remaining in the compound were over a hundred men, women, and children.The FBI pleaded that David Koresh release the children, David Koresh demanded milk for the children.
- So the women and children were locked in an indoor freezer from the OUTSIDE.

- Approaching the 2 month marker of the raid, at 6:00 am on April 19, 1993, the FBI inserted CS gas into the compound in an attempt to draw the Branch Davidians out.
- The Branch Davidians had gas masks, but they weren't made for children.
- Shortly after the tear gas was released into the building, Mount Carmel caught on fire: It is debated on who is responsible.
- Only 9 people escaped the flames1 of which was a man named David Thibodeau, who after escaping is one of the strongest sources of inside the compound that we have.
- everyone else died by either asphyxiation, burning, or suicide.
