William was staring at the window wondering if the sun would really come out today or not. it had been raining for seven years straight and most of the children had not ever seen the sun. today was supposed to be the day sun finally came out. All of the children were talking and anticipating seeing the sun for the first time.

the children were so exited to see the sun margot had written a poem about the sun. all the children were exited especially marot because she had seen the sun before. the other kids didn't believe her and they started to pick on her because they were jealous.
falling action
After Margot and William argued more the children all pushed her in a closet and locked the doors. They could all hear the screams of Margot behind the doors but ignored her and then went to the window. As the children were staring out the window one of Williams friends noticed the rain slowing down. They all told the teacher about this and she let all of the children outside not knowing Margot was left behind in the closet.
resolution
As the sun started to set William's smile quickly turned into a frown. The warm sun suddenly turned into cold rain. The realization of the sun not coming out for another seven years settled into their minds. As they walked to the classroom William and the rest of the kids realized they forgot Margot in the closet.
The children stayed completely still as they remembered Margot in the closet. Margot was completely silent all they could hear was the storm again. The children felt so guilty they couldn't even look at each other. They all walked slowly to the closet door to let Margot out.
Behind the closet door Margot was completely silent. The other children opened the door to let her out. Margot had missed the entire two hours that the sun was out. Margot would not see the sun for another seven years.
