- The characters in this story is jing-mei and her mother. The stores take place in her house. Jing-mei mother was forcing her to watch Shirley temple because her mother thought she was prefect.
- Climax
- Then i remember the babies she had lost in china,the ones we never talked.''I shouted.''I wish i were dead! Like them.''
- In this scene Jing-mei was looking at herself in the mirror because she thought she wasn't the prefect daughter her mother wanted her to be. Jing-mei want to the bathroom to let he emotions out because she didn't feel like she was the type of daughter her mother wanted her to be. Her mother would see other girls and think her child was like that.
- Falling Action
- This scene takes place when jing-mei's mother saw a little girl playing the piano and she thought that she was the perfect daughter she could ever ask for. Her mother wants jing-mei to be like the little girl or even better than her at the piano.
- Resolution
- This scene happened when she was fighting with her mother and she got really mad. Jing-mei has so mad that she told he mother she was died like the babies her mother had lost in china.
- In this scene it showed that they never talked about that happen. It says'' neither of us talked about it again,as if it were a betrayal that was now unspeakable.''
- In this scene Jing-mei's mother had offered to give Jing-mei a piano for her thirteenth birthday. Then after she played the two song a few times and found out they were two halves of the same song. The same song she was learning to play .
