Linda's father Oliver went to the school to enroll her but the School board rejected as she was not white. He was angry as she had to travel far to go to the black school so he partnered with the NAACP movement for the protection of Black rights to sue the Topeka Board of education.
That is not fair! She has to travel so far to go to her school and this is closer. This is not equal, our schools are worse than yours

Her father hired the lawyer Thurgood Marshall and they went to court. They first lost the case but when they went to the supreme court they argued the case that this breaches the 14th amendment as it breaches equal protection under the law. Then they also stated how this builds up Black people to have an inferiority complex and lower intelligence as their schools are not as good. They will also have their mental development affected causing them to be slower.
We performed an experiment and found out that colored children are being mentally affected, they feel inferior to the white students. This is affecting their education.
They have a point.
All 9 supreme court justices agreed that the 14th amendment was being violated and things were not equal. In 1955, segregation no longer continued and Colored kids were now able to go to school together with the white kids.
