- Plymouth was a colony made up of Pilgrims wanting to form their own religion and avoid prosecution in England.

- Jamestown was a important place for tobacco growth, which would give the farmers a lot of money, unfortunately the farm was managed with slaves.

- Also named the "Lost Colony" first made in 1587 was a colony that a man named John White would make, he had to go for supplies, upon arriving in 1590 he couldn't find anything left of the Colony except a word carved on a tree named "Croatoan"
- Croatoan
- The Pennsylvania Colony was made to escape England and start their own churches. It was very welcome to new Colonists. It also was called the "Bread Colony" because of it's amount of Flour.
- The colony was founded in 1733 by James Oglethorpe, he wanted people who had not paid debt to start a new life as a farmer. They could work to pay off their debts.
