- BRAVERY - George Washington was the leader of the Continental Army from 1775 - 1781. George Washington was brave because he led his army into battles and helped America achieve independence. His greatest accomplishments are that he led his troops to victory in the Revolutionary War and he also was the first elected President of the United States.

- PERSEVERANCE - James Madison was instrumental to writing the U.S Constitution and The Federalist Papers. He helped get the Constitution ratified by the 13 states. He authored the Federalist Papers and he helped get the U.S Constitution ratified.
- John Paul Jones
- You will deal with the might of my wrath!
- PERSPECTIVE - Edmund Burke was one of the people in Parliament to speak out against British taxation on the colonies. He was the Father of Modern British Conservatism and he wrote "A Vindication of Natural Society".
- John Adams
- The only way to make the british stop is to declare independence!
- CREATIVITY - Francis Marion was very successful in using guerrilla tactics on the British Army. He is considered the father of Modern Guerrilla Warfare and he was a successful military leader during the Revolutionary War.
- ZEST/ENTHUSIASM - John Paul Jones in a effort to win a naval battle rammed a British ship and continued to fight, even when he had a disadvantage. He stole a British ship and claimed it as his own and he was awarded the Congressional Gold Medal in 1787.
- TEAMWORK/CITIZENSHIP - John Adams worked with the delegates to convince them to vote for independence. John Adams was the 2nd elected President of the United States and he helped negotiate the Treaty of Paris.
