PH Specialist 1: Goodmorning, Springville, thank you for having us. As per Mayor’s last address, we know that there has been an unprecedented rise in number of new cases of thenew virus, and that Outbreak Task Team has been established to investigatefurther. As a public health specialist, I believe conducting a quantitativeresearch study is crucial at this point as it will assist us to gatherinformation on the number of people affected by the disease, their age, sex, andsocioeconomic status. This information will give us an idea of who is mostlyaffected, which can then lead us to finding the root cause of the outbreak, wecan be able to also tell from the information collected whether the outbreak isgetting worse or better, and also to find preventative methods while we arestill trying to find a cure or treatment.
